Andrew founded Fort Financial Planning in 2004. The inspiration behind the business was meeting the “Godfather of financial planning” Paul Etheridge – after whom FFP’s new offices are named – who is the pioneer of lifestyle cash flow forecasting.

Andrew is now beginning to enjoy partial retirement. He has left the day to day running of the business to his fellow directors (Mark Salter and Emily Flynn) but otherwise acts as a non-executive director and mentor, asking difficult questions and providing guidance when required.

Andrew is one of a very small band of Independent Financial Advisers to hold both the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFPcm) and Chartered Financial Planner (CFP™)qualifications.

Andrew was previously a partner in Harry Fort Insurance Brokers with his father Harry and brother Chris.

He is very happily married (his wife is called Chris as well) and is the proud father of four children. He and Chris spend most of their time outdoors cycling, running, kayaking, walking and playing tennis (to a very low standard).
